Hoai Linh was born in 1969 in Khanh Hoa province. His father (be) was a lieutenant of Vietnam's former government. In 1993, he (go) went to live in the U.S and (work) worked as a versatile performer. He always (want) wanted to build an ancestral house to show his gratitude towards the ancestors of arts. In 2016, his wish finally (come) came true. The ancestral house (cost) cost him nearly 5 million dollars. He also (win) won the title 'Prominent Artist' in the same year.
